People think of Moses with the grand images of the movie the Ten Commandments. But who is when the Lord God appears to him through the burning bush? Moses is a nobody, doing a nobody’s job. He had tried being a somebody and bring freedom to the Hebrews. Instead he murdered a man and escaped as a failure. He had given up trying to be a somebody.
How about this for an outline for Exodus 1-4: Moses – somebody special, somebody a nobody, somebody to bring the somebody, I am not that somebody, don’t worry the I Am is the somebody?
